Civil Law

Where agreements end, our work begins

Civil law touches everyday life — from contracts to liability to property rights. We handle cases where real money and real relationships are at stake.

Recognise your case?

Your neighbour built on your land

The boundary doesn't match reality. Your neighbour won't negotiate and you're unsure whether court is worth it.

A contractor left the job unfinished

You paid upfront but the work is incomplete or defective. Complaints go nowhere and the firm won't respond.

Someone owes you money and won't pay

You have an invoice, a contract or an acknowledgement of debt, but the other side isn't responding. You need to know how to collect.

Your landlord won't return the deposit

You moved out, handed back the flat in good condition, but the deposit isn't coming. The landlord keeps inventing deductions.

You caused damage and received a claim

You got a letter from a lawyer or insurer demanding compensation. You're not sure whether — or how much — you should pay.

Heirs can't agree on how to divide the estate

After a family member's death, the family can't reach agreement on the inheritance. A court dispute over property, money or valuables looms.

The debtor ignores your demands

You've sent one reminder, then another — no response. Out-of-court efforts have failed and it's time to consider litigation.

Neighbour dispute over an access road

Your neighbour has blocked access to your property or is challenging an easement. Without agreement, litigation looms.

How we work

01

Mapping the situation

We review documents, establish the facts and assess your legal position. We'll tell you what your options are and what's realistic.

02

Solution strategy

We propose a course of action — negotiation, mediation or litigation. Always with an eye on costs and likely outcomes.

03

Execution and representation

We negotiate with the other side, prepare filings and represent you in court. You'll be kept informed throughout.

Decision moments

Neighbour dispute

Is it worth going to court over one metre of land?

A neighbour moved the fence a metre onto our client's plot and refused all discussion. The strip of land was worth little — but the precedent for the entire parcel was not. We filed a claim and reached a settlement that resolved both the boundary and access road. Without legal action, the dispute would have escalated for years.

Lease

Can a landlord terminate when a tenant only partially pays?

The tenant paid regularly but always CZK 2,000 short, citing apartment defects. The landlord wanted immediate termination. We assessed that partial payment did not support termination — and proposed a formal notice with a reasonable deadline. The tenant paid the arrears within 3 weeks.
